(D) Indica is a book attributed to Greek historian Megasthenes, of the 3rd century BC. It is purported to be an account of Mauryan India by Megasthenes. The original book is now lost, but its fragments have survived in later Greek and Latin works. Megasthenes resided in the Seleucid Empire, apparently travelling to India as part of that country’s diplomacy.
