(A) The first open-air jail established in Madhya Pradesh. It is located at Hoshangabad, which allows prisoners to live with their families. Built in an area of 17 acres at a cost of ₹ 3.26 crores. The jail, the first of its kind in the state, presently houses only 25 selected prisoners from all over Madhya Pradesh. The jail also has facilities for providing education to children of the prisoners to help them lead normal lives in the prison premises.
