CuCl2 is an acidic in water as Cl−do not hydrolyse. Since, it is an anion of strong acid, HCl.Cu2+ will hydrolyse to form Cu(OH)−.
Cu2++H2O(aq)⇌Cu(OH)−(aq)+H+(aq) which is an acidic solution. So, the solution of CuCl2 in water is acidic.
