Battle of Mahoba is the subject matter of the Alha Khand. It is an early poetic work in Hindi which consists of a number of ballads describing the brave acts of two Rajput heroes, Alha and Udal who were great fighters. They are still being sung in the folk songs of Bundelkhand.
