As per the government data, Mizoram has the highest cancer incidence in the country. Mizoram has a very high incidence of stomach, oesophagus, lung and cervix cancer. The data shows at least 3137 people died due to cancer in the state during the past 5 years while 5888 people suffered from cancer during the same period.
