Let the first amount lent out at the rate of $6\%$ be $\mathit{R}\mathit{x}$. and the second amount lent out at the rate of $5\%$ be

Ratio of interest $=5:4$
$\therefore \frac{\mathit{x}\times 6\times 6}{100}:\frac{\left(38800-\mathit{x}\right)\times 5\times 2}{100}=5:4$
$\Rightarrow \frac{\frac{\mathit{x}\times 6\times 6}{100}}{\mathrm{frac}\frac{\left(38800-\mathit{x}\right)\times 5\times 2}{100}=\frac{5}{4}}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{36\mathit{x}}{\left(38800-\mathit{x}\right)\times 10}=\frac{5}{4}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{18\mathit{x}}{\left(38800-\mathit{x}\right)\times 5}=\frac{5}{4}\Rightarrow 72\mathit{x}=970000-25\mathit{x}$
$\Rightarrow 97\mathit{x}=970000$
$\therefore \mathit{x}=10000$
$\therefore$ So, second part of money that was lent out at $5\%$
