Validate

Solution:

Let the present age of Thomas =

x

Tim=y {yr}

{Tom}= {z} {yr}

According to the question,

3(x+19)=(y+19)

⇒ 3 x+57=y+19 ⇒ 3 x-y=-38

. . . (i)

\;\text " and "\; x-3=z ⇒ x-z=3

. . . (ii)
But we cannot solve these two equationsbecause it is in two variables and we need three variables. So, quantities cannot be compared.
