Then,
40% of x : 35% of y : 30% of (1450 - x - y ) = 14: 21:15
Taking first two terms of above ratio, we get
$\frac{40\mathit{x}}{35\mathit{y}}=\frac{14}{21}$
⇒ x = $\frac{7}{12}\mathit{y}$
Now, taking last two ratio, we get
$\frac{35\mathit{y}}{30\left(1450-\mathit{x}-\mathit{y}\right)}=\frac{21}{25}$
⇒ $\frac{7\mathit{y}}{6\left(1450-\mathit{x}-\mathit{y}\right)}=\frac{21}{25}$
⇒ 5y = 8700 - 6x - 6y
⇒ 11 y + 6 x $\frac{7}{12}$ y = 8700
⇒ $\frac{29}{2}$y = 8700 2
⇒ y = ₹ 600
Hence, salary of B is ₹ 600
