Solution:

(1) Let both the packets have x number of toffees.
Then, CP of 2x toffees
= 5x +

{13x}/3=28/3x

And SP of 2x toffees
=

70/12×2x=35/3x

∴ Gain percentage =

{(35/3-28/3)x}/{28/3x}

x 100
=

7/280

x 100 = 25 %
