Solution:

(2) Let Brij joined after x months. Then,
550 x 12 : 330 x (12 - x) = 10: 3

{5 × 1 2}/{3 × (1 2 - x) }=10/3

⇒

6/{12 - x}

= 1 ⇒ 6 = 12 - x
⇒ x = 12 - 6 = 6
Hence, Brij joined after 6 months.
