n (A∩ B ) = 22

So,

n (A ∪ B )= n (A )+ n (B ) - n (A ∩ B )

= 32+ 4 0 - 2 2 = 50

Percentage failed in either or both the subjects

=50

Hence, percentage of pass

=(100-50) \%=50 \%
