According to the question,
$\frac{2400}{\mathit{x}}-\frac{2400}{\mathit{x}+10}$ = 8
⇒ 2400 $\left[\frac{10}{\mathit{x}\left(\mathit{x}+10\right)}\right]$ = 8
⇒ ${\mathit{x}}^2$ + 10 x - 3000 = 0
⇒ (x + 60) (x - 50)= 0
x = - 60 (not possible)
x = 50
Hence, the filling capacity of pump is 50 ${\mathit{m}}^3$/min
