Indian women don’t believe in donating blood. According to the first ever data bank on gender distribution of blood donors, India has only 6% blood donations by women. The rest 94% were male donors.

Just twenty five countries in the world collect more than 40% of their blood supplies from female donors, these include Australia, US, Thailand, Switzerland, Portugal, New Zealand, Mongolia, Zimbabwe, etc.
