Solution:

(d) Let the value of each instalment be ₹ x.
According to the question,

12900 =

[x+(x+{x×5×1)/100)+(x+{x×5×2}/100)+(x+{{x×5×3}/100})]

⇒ 12900 = 4x +

{5x}/100+{10x}/100+{15x}/100

⇒ 1290000 = 400x + 5x + 10x +15x
⇒ x =

1290000/430

∴ x = ₹ 3000
