Solution:

(b) Let the original speed be x km/h.
Then, new speed =

{7x}/11

km/h
∵ New time = 22 h
∴ Distance = New speed x New time
=

{7x}/11

x 22 = 14x km [given]
Now, original time =

\Distance/{ \Original \speed}

{14x}/x

= 14 h
∴ Required time = 22 - 14 = 8 h
