Calculation:
Let group C has x candidates
B consists of twice the number of students in group C
$\Rightarrow \mathit{B}=2\mathit{x}$
A has half the number of students than group C
$\Rightarrow \mathit{A}=\mathit{x}/2$
According to the question:
$\mathit{x}+2\mathit{x}+\mathit{x}/2=56$
$\Rightarrow \mathit{x}=112/7=16$
∴ Number of student in group C = x = 16 students
