Given

Concept

(a^m)^n = a^{mn}

Calculation
Putting x = 1, we get

64^{x – 1} + 44^{x – 1}

= 64^{1 – 1} + 4^{4 – 1}

= 64^0 + 4^3

= 1 + 64

= 65

Hence, x = 1
