Calculation:
Let the total population be 100x.
Total no. of votes casted $=\left(90/100\right)\times 100\mathit{x}=90\mathit{x}$
Total no. of votes of A $=\left(55/100\right)\times 90\mathit{x}$
Total no. of votes of B br> According to question
$\left(45/100\right)\times 90\mathit{x}=8100$
$\Rightarrow \mathit{x}=\left(8100\times 100\right)/\left(45\times 90\right)$
$\Rightarrow \mathit{x}=200$
Total population $=100\times 200=20000$
∴ The total population is 20000.
