D = MP – SP
Here SP is selling price, MP is marked price and D is discount
Calculation:
MP $=\mathit{S}\mathit{P}\times 100/\left(100\mathit{–}\mathit{D}\%\right)$
⇒ MP $=5225\times 100/\left(100\mathit{–}5\right)$
⇒ MP $=5225\times 100/95$
⇒ MP = 5500
∴ Marked price of the headphones is Rs. 5500
