Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that the Gwalior-Chambal Expressway will be named Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Chambal Progressway .
This announcement was made on the second death anniversary of the former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee served as the prime minister in 1996, from 1998 to 1999 and a term of five years from 1999 to 2004.
It is a proposed Six-lane expressway to connect the states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
The expressway will connect the historic town of Kota in Rajasthan to Etawah in Uttar Pradesh alongside the Chambal River.
