In the biggest acquisition in the defence sector in India, Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure, on 5 March 2015, announced acquisition of controlling stake in Pi- pavav Defence and Offshore Engineering in Gujarat for up to Rs 2,082.3 crore. Pipavav Defence is India’s first world class integrated defence production, ship building and offshore infrastructure company.
