Solution:

(1) Circumference of the base of cylinder =

2πr

⇒

2 × 22 /7 × r = 88

⇒

r = {88× 7} /{2× 22} = 14 cm

∴ Volume of cone

= 1 /3 πr ^2h

(1/ 3× 22/ 7 × 14× 14 ×21)
