rd of the area of the plot. What is the perimeter of the rectangular plot ?

Solution:

(4) According to the question,
Area of plot

= 3 × 15 = 45

sq. metre
Its length =

Breadth =

∴

5x × x = 45

⇒

x^ 2 = 45/ 5 = 9

⇒

x = √9 = 3

∴ Perimeter of plot =

2 × 6x = 12x

(12 × 3)

= 36 metre
