Whenever a message signal is transmitted over a large distance, then it has the tendency to lose some of the information. However, in order to prevent this, carrier signals are being added to the message signal using antennas which is known as modulation.
Thus, this process of modulation is necessary to radiate the signal to a large distance using antennas.
