Given equations are
2x+y=4.....(i)
3x+2y=2....(ii)
and ‌‌x+y=−2....(iii)
On solving Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get
x=6 and y=−8
On putting the values of x and y in Eq. (iii). we get
6−8=−2
⇒‌‌−2=−2, which is true
Hence, only one solution exist.
