Kamaljeet Sandhu is a former woman Indian athlete who won gold medal at 1970 Asian Games in $400\mathit{m}$ race. She ran the distance in $57.3$ seconds. She was the first Indian woman to win gold medal at any Asian games. She hails from Punjab state in India. She received Padma Shri award in $1971.$
