(1) The 52nd Amendment Act,1985 added the Tenth Schedule to the Indian constitution,laid down the provisions for disqualification of elected members on the grounds of defection to another political party. In this amendment, articles 101, 102, 190 and 191 were changed. The 91st Constitutional Amendment Act,2003 made defections even more difficult.
