(4) Mahuadanr sanctuary is located in Latehar district of Jharkhand. It is the only sanctuary in India created to protect the critically endangered Indian wolf . Other species found in the sanctuary are hares, mongoose, rats, squirrels,small deer and ground birds. Mahuadanr sanctuary is situated in the picturesque Chechari valley and is drained by the Burha river.
