Parasnath Hill is near the Barakar river in the Giridih plateau. The height of this hill is 4480 feet (1365 m). Its highest peak is known as Sammed peak. It is constituted of the extremely hard pyroxene granite. It is famous as a prominent pilgrimage center of the Jains.
