The BRIC was formed by Brazil. Russia, India. China. Its first convention was held in 2009 in Russia. In the 2010 meeting at Brazilia, a consensus was formed to include South Africa in it. The South Africa was formally included in the third summit meeting held in China in 2011. After this the name of this body became BRICS.
