(i) No. of ways in which 2 vowels can be arranged together in RIYADH = 5! × 2! = 240
Hence statement (i) is not true.
(ii) Total no. of arrangements = 6! = 720.
∴ No. of ways in which vowels do not occur together = 720 – 240 = 480
Hence statement (ii) is also not true.
