The largest 5 digits number is 99999.
On dividing 99999 by 90, we get 1111 as quotient and 9 as remainder
So, the largest 5 digits number exactly divisible by 90 = 99999 – 9 = 99990
Quantity II:
Given that, the difference of two numbers=93764
Let the smallest number be X.
Then, the largest number = X + 93764
From the given information, on dividing the largest number by the smallest number, we will get 19 as quotient and 3764 as remainder.
So, dividend= (divisor × quotient) + remainder
So, (X + 93764) = (X × 19) + 3764
X + 90000 = 19X
⇒ X = 5000
So the smallest number is 5000
∴ Quantity I > Quantity II
