(4) A major revision changes the whole number of the product, i.e. from 6.2 to 7.0. For major revisions, new Certified Product Listing (CPL) numbers are usually assigned for the product family. On the contrary, a minor revision is usually reflected in a change to the decimal version of the product, i.e. from 6.1 to 6.2, or 6.10 to 6.11. Product numbers usually stay the same for a minor revision.
