(3) According to the National Judicial Appointments Commission Act, 2014 and the Constitution (99th Amendment) Act, 2014, notified on 13 April 2015, every judge in the Supreme Court and the High Courts will now be appointed by the President in consultation with the NJAC. It would end the Supreme Court Collegium system for the appointment of judges.
