From statement I,
I. 4x + 3y + 5z = 60
Again , 2x = y
2y = z
II. 3x + 3y + 2z = 34
2x + 5y + 6z = 72
From statement I,
4x + 3y + 5z = 60
Again , 2x = y
2y = z
⇒ z = 4x
∴ 4x + 6x + 20x = 60
⇒ 30x = 60
⇒ x = 2
∴ y = 4, z = 8
∴ x2 + y + z = 4 + 4 + 8 = 16
From statement II.
We have three unknown quantities but two equations.
Hence, only statement is sufficient to answer.
