(a) The 107th Indian Science Congress (ISC) was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 3, 2019 at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Bengaluru. The theme of the congress for 2020 is "Science & Technology: Rural Development". ISC is a major focal point for scientists, researchers and academicians interested in various aspects of scientific discoveries and technologies. The previous (2019) session 106thedition was held at Lovely Professional University(LPU) in Jalandhar, Punjab.
