HCU MCA 2017 Paper

A teacher wrote an equation ax${}^2$ + bx + c = 0 on the blackboard and asked the student to solve it. A careless student made a small mistake in copying and found out that he got the same roots (α , β) as the rest but with opposite signs. What was his mistake ?
