Distance between two points

(\x_{1}, \y_{1})

and

(\x_{2}, \y_{2})

is given by

={√{( \x _{1}- \x _{2}\)^{2}+\( \y _{1}- \y _{2})}^{2}}

∴ Distance between the point (-20, 15) and origin (0, 0)

=\√{{(-20-0)^{2}+(15-0)^{2}}}

=\√{(-20)^{2}+(15)^{2}}=\√{400+225}=\√{625}=25
