members spent 10 hours each with customers last week. If every member of the team is counted in the table, how many members does the team have?
(1) The average (arithmetic mean) number of hours spent with customers last week was 4 per team member.
(2) Half of the members of the team spent 1 hour or less each with customers last week.

Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.

Validate

Solution:

(1) We have the total hours

(0+1+5+10+25)

of 41 and an average of 4 .

41 / 4=10

(2) half the team

(2x+x)

spent 1 hour or less with a customer while the other half

(2 x+4+1)

spent more than an hour.

2 x+x=2 x+4+1, x=5=

half the team.
