Solution:

Using both statements, the line is

Y=2-X

and the area is 10 .
Draw a rectangular axis system and draw a line.
You can see that the blocked area is a triangle with an area of

(2 × 2 \/ 2=2)

and therefore the area of the blocked area is smaller than 10 . Only if you use both statements together, you can answer the question.
