is the number of students in the largest class, then the numbers of students in the other classes are:

X-2, X-4, X-6

and

X-8

. The total number of students is:

X +(X-2)+(X-4)+(X-6)+(X-8)=95

and

5 X-20=95 ⇒ 5 X=115 ⇒ X=23
