Iron is not a diamagnetic substances at Standard Temperature and Pressure (STP) .
While nitrogen sodium chloride and Water are diamagnetic substance.
Same substance, when placed in a magnetic field, are feebly magneticsed opposite to the direction of the magnetised field. When braught close a pole of a away magnet, they are somewhat repelled away from the magnet.
These substances are called 'dimagnatic substances'.
