Dr Aykroyd's formula is associated with determination of minimum wages. Dr Wallace Ruddel Aykroyd was famous nutritionist and first director of the department of Nutrition. Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) whose recommendations were based on the food and clothing requirements of the people of the country. The government has decided that in future, the remuneration of Central Government employees will be fixed by Aykroyd formula, instead of the 7th pay commission.
