The sides of a ΔGHL are GH = 65 m, HL = 75 m and LG = 80 m. What is the area of this triangle?

Solution:

Given, GH = 65 m, HL = 75 m, LG = 80 m

Semi- perimeter of triangle

=s={a+b+c}/2

{65+75+80}/2=110m

Area of triangle

= √{s(s - a) (s - 6) (s - c)}

√ {110(110 - 65) (110 - 75) (110 - 80)}

√{110 × 45 × 35 × 30 }

=√5197500=2279.8=2280 \m^{2}
