The monitor is the most common output device connected with the computer to display the processed information.

It looks like a TV and is also known as Visual Display Unit (VDU).

The two commonly used Monitor types are :

• Cathode Ray Tube Monitor
• Liquid Crystal Display Monitor

Input devices are used to give data and instructions to the computer.

Keyboard and Mouse are the most commonly used input devices.

Other examples of input devices are - Joystick. scanner, Touchscreen, Microphone, Trackball, etc.

The devices which are used to display the results or information are called the Output devices.

Examples of the output devices are - Monitor, Printer, Speaker, Plotter, etc.
