Let n years after sum of their age will be 122, then
According to the question,
⇒ $52+\mathit{x}+46+\mathit{x}=122$
⇒ $98+2\mathit{x}=122$
⇒ $2\mathit{x}=122\mathit{–}98$
⇒ $2\mathit{x}=24$
⇒ $\mathit{x}=\frac{24}{2}$
⇒ $\mathit{x}=12$
∴ 12 years after sum of their age will be 122 years
