If the diagonal of a rectangle is 65 cm and one side is 63 cm long, then what is the length of the other side?

Given,
Diagonal of the rectangle = 65 cm
One side of the rectangle = 63 cm
Formula:
In rectangle,

(\text"Diagonal")^2= (\text"length")^2+ (\text"breadth")^2

Calculation :
According to the question

65^2= (\text"length")^2+ 63^2

⇒

4225 = (\text"length")^2+ 3969

⇒

(\text"length")^2= 4225 – 3969

⇒ Length = √256
⇒ Length = 16
∴ The longest side of the rectangle is 16.
