Given, Satyam’s income is more than that of Sundar = Rs. 500
Formula:
If a number increase by x%, then increased number = Actual number $\times \left[\frac{\left(\mathit{x}+100\right)}{100}\right]$
Calculation:
Let Income of Sundar be 4x, then
Income of Shivam = $4\mathit{x}\times \left[\frac{5}{4}\right]=5\mathit{x}$
Income of Satyam $=5\mathit{x}\times \left[\frac{6}{5}\right]=6\mathit{x}$
According to the question
$6\mathit{x}\mathit{–}4\mathit{x}=500$
⇒ $2\mathit{x}=500\Rightarrow \mathit{x}=250$
Average income of Satyam, Shivam and Sundar $=\frac{\left(6\mathit{x}+5\mathit{x}+4\mathit{x}\right)}{3}=5\mathit{x}=5\times 250=1250$
∴ Average income of Satyam, Shivam and Sundar is Rs. 1250.
