FORMULA USED:
Area of square = ${\mathit{a}}^2$
Length of diagonal of a square = $\mathit{a}\sqrt{2}$
CALCULATION:
Let the length of side of square = a
∴ Area of square $={\mathit{a}}^2=648$
⇒ $\mathit{a}=18\sqrt{2}$ cm
Length of diagonal = $\mathit{a}\sqrt{2}$
$=18\sqrt{2}\times \sqrt{2}$
$=18\times 2$
= 36 cm
