Solution:

Formula used:

a^3+ b^3= (a + b)(a^2- ab + b^2)

⇒

(a^3+ b^3)/(a^2- ab + b^2) = (a + b)

Calculation:
On comparison with statement, we get
a = 0.3 and b = 1.7
Thus,

[(0.3)^3+ (1.7)^3]/[0.3 × 0.3 - 0.51 + 1.7 × 1.7] = 0.3 + 1.7 = 2
